BRANCH TWP. — MCP has been informed that Doug Hill, 63, was the man who died in a house fire on East Hansen Road this morning. Hill was renting the house from Madonna Schulz. Officials continue to investigate the cause if the fire.

VICTORY TWP. — Scottville Fire Dept. was called to a truck fire on Fisher Road east of Stiles this morning. The 2004 GM, owned by Rick and Kari Singleton was destroyed. Rick did not know the cause.
AMBER TWP. — Fire destroyed a garage and antique car and damaged a house this afternoon. Tom Winters was working on his 1962 Buick Skylark at his home when the fire started. “I was just working on changing the fuel lines.
