HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — Christopher Cook and Johnaine Gurzynski won the Hamlin Township Board of Trustees seats during Tuesday’s Republican primary election. Stakenas, Miszewski win Sherman Township Republican trustee nominations

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — William Stakenas and Chelsea Miszewski won the Republican nominations for the Sherman Township Board of Trustees race Tuesday. Unofficial results were: Stakenas, 85; Miszewski, 77, and Michael Genung, 66. Stakenas and Miszewski will face off against Democrat Lori Cregg for the two open seats in the November General Election.

Bacon re-elected to county commission seat

Ron Bacon was re-elected to the Mason County Board of Commissioners representing District 7 during the Tuesday Republican primary election. Bacon defeated Aldon Maleckas 449-149 (unofficial). There was no Democratic candidates. District 7 represents Branch, Custer, Logan and Sheridan townships.
