  John Mickevich of Ludington submitted these photographs that he took around the area last weekend. The photograph on the left was taken along Conrad Road in Pere Marquette Township. The photograph on the right is of the Father Marquette Memorial on the Buttersville Peninsula. Today’s weather started out with rain that has now turned to snow.

CUSTER — A snow day at Fremont Providence High School caused the Mason County Eastern homecoming game to be postponed from Friday to this afternoon. The Cardinals defeated Fremont 48-40.
