Protasiewicz wins drain commissioner race

LUDINGTON — Larry Protasiewicz will be the next Mason County drain commissioner. Protasiewicz defeated opponent David Bendele in the Republican primary election unofficially 2,815 to 1,517. Protasiewicz will be on the November General Election ballot. HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — Christopher Cook and Johnaine Gurzynski won the Hamlin Township Board of Trustees seats during Tuesday’s Republican primary election. AMBER TOWNSHIP — Jeannie Miller was elected Amber Township treasurer Tuesday during the Republican primary election. Miller defeated incumbent Connie Anderson 262-150 (unofficially).
