Winter storm warning cancelled

A winter storm warning for the area has been cancelled, but we remain under a winter weather advisory until 7 a.m. Sunday. The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids reports that snow and blowing snow is still expected. Winds will gust to 30 mph from the northwest tonight, which will continue to result in areas of blowing and drifting snow.…

Plowing limited to highways, primaries; sheriff says stay off roads

People are being asked to stay off the roads and are being encouraged to stay indoors as Mason County and surrounding areas are under a winter storm warning with near-blizzard conditions.
