LUDINGTON — The 26th Ludington Lake Jump will take place on Saturday, April 26 at 11 a.m. at Stearns Park beach. This year’s beneficiaries are the four senior centers of Mason County.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., at which time participants will turn in the pleges they’ve collected from friends and family. Those who have collected, or donated, at least $25 will receive a free t-shirt commemorating the event and showing the event logo as well as the names or logos of more than 40 business and individual sponsors who agreed to underwrite the Lake Jump.
In addition to participating in the annual Lake Jump, donations are welcome from those who choose to stay dry. Everyone is invited to witness the signature community event from the beach or the walkway to the lighthouse.
Pledge forms are available on the Ludington Lake Jump web site, lakejump.org, from any of the senior centers, and even at the registration tent on Saturday morning.
Funds collected will be used by the senior centers to enhance their health and wellness programs, as well as initiatives to combat isolation and loneliness among Mason County’s senior population.
