The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Thursday, April 17, 2025:

• 7:23 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Forest Trail, Free Soil Township.
• 7:48 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jagger Road east of Lincoln Road, Hamlin Township.
• 1:49 p.m., (MCSO), a 34-year-old Big Rapids woman was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant following a traffic stop, US 10 west of Benson Road, Branch Township. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 7:09 p.m., (MCSO), a 20-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding Ogemaw County Criminal bench warrant for failure to appear, 3300 block of Halls Lane, Hamlin Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Friday, April 18, 2025:

• 11:57 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Brye Road, Amber Township.
• 12:48 p.m., (MCSO), a 41-year-old Scottville man was arrested for probation violation, 400 block of North Thomas Street, City of Scottville. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 1:12 p.m., (MCSO), illegal dumping, Mason County Central school campus, City of Scottville. It was reported that a person dumped several bags of trash in a school dumpster.
• 3:09 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, Walmart parking lot, Pere Marquette Township.
• 8:42 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 61-year-old Ludington man was cited for disorderly conduct – public intoxication near the intersection of Delia and Laura Streets, City of Ludington. 
• 9:53 p.m., (MCSO), three-vehicle crash, no injury, Main Street north of Maple Street, City of Scottville. The driver reported sneezing caused the vehicle to go to the right and strike two parked vehicles.

Saturday, April 19, 2025:

• 10:40 a.m., (Michigan State Police, Hart post), a 64-year-old Manistee woman was cited for operating without a license, Meyers Road near John Harland Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
• 11:10 a.m., (MSP), a 24-year-old Ludington man was cited for operating without insurance, Jackson Road and US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
• 1:53 p.m., (MCSO), a 31-year-old Wellston woman was arrested at the Mason County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the Manistee County Sheriff’s Office, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 8:10 p.m., (LPD), a 44-year-old Scottville woman was arrested for unlawful driving away an automobile/car theft near the intersection of Ludington Avenue and Rowe Street, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Sunday, April 20, 2025:

• 5:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Hansen Road east of Dennis Road, Amber Township.
• 10:14 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, First Street west of Reek Road, Custer Township.
• 8 p.m., (LPD), a 31-year-old Grand Rapids man and a 24-year-old Ludington man were arrested for illegal entry, 1000 block of South Madison Street, City of Ludington. They were lodged in the Mason County Jail.
