The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, March 21, 2025:

  • 8:11 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, First Street west of US 10, Branch Township.
  • 3:08 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 south of Forest Trail Road, Free Soil Township.
  • 7:21 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 45-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a warrant issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court, Nelson Road and Barton Street, Pere Marquette Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 9:07 p.m., (LPD), a 40-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on a failure to appear warrant issued by Mason County’s 51 st Circuit Court, 5000 block of US 10, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 9:28 p.m., (LPD), a 51 -year-old Scottville man was cited for open intoxicants following a traffic stop, US 10 and Campbell Road, Branch Township.

Saturday, March 22, 2025:

  • 5:41 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Victory Township.
  • 7:10 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, US 10 west of Benson Road, Branch Township.
  • 1:16 p.m., (MCSO), a 35-year-old Wellston woman was cited for second-offense driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, US 10 west of Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 4:26 p.m., (MCSO), a 49-year-old Scottville woman was arrested for domestic assault following a 911 call reporting an assault, 4900 block of North US 31, Sherman Township.
  • 7:37 p.m., (MCSO), car/dog crash, no injury, Reek Road north of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township.
  • 8:55 p.m.,  (LPD), a 35-year-old Ludington man was stopped for traffic violations, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, City of Ludington. The suspect was charged with operating while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. He was lodged at the Mason County Jail.
  • 9:08 p.m., (MCSO), a 34-year-old Scottville man was cited for open intoxicants following a traffic stop, Reek and Sugar Grove roads, Sherman Township.

Sunday, March 23, 2025:

  • 3:01 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 7:44 a.m., (MCSO), larceny of a Samsung Galaxy cell phone, 2500 block of West Groth Road, Victory Township. The case was turned over to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office for a warrant.
