FILER TOWNSHIP (Manistee County) – Filer Credit Union is offering $25,000 in scholarship funds to local high school seniors. The program will provide 10 $2,000 and five $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement, and a commitment to their future goals. Eligible applicants must be members of Filer Credit Union. If a student is interested in a scholarship and is not a member, he/she may open a membership online at filercu.com or at any Filer Credit Union office. Applications are now open and will be accepted through March 28, 2025.
“Investing in our local youth not only helps the students financially, but it also promotes financial wellness in line with Filer’s mission,” said Zachary Pawlowski, director of innovation at Filer Credit Union. “These scholarships empower these students, their families, as well as our community through the offering of higher education.”
Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee from Filer Credit Union.
