Conservation District to hold annual dinner Feb. 20

AMBER TOWNSHIP —  The Mason-Lake Conservation District will be hosting its annual dinner banquet from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 20 at Our Savior Lutheran Church,765 US 10-31.

        Conversation district staff and partners will have booths to share information on recent projects and accomplishments and will be ready to help with any questions regarding natural resources issues for private property. An open house will be held from 5-6 p.m.

A banquet dinner will be provided at 6 p.m. with guest speaker Michelle Carter, who completed an internship with Hamlin Lake Preservation Society last summer. Carter will share her insights on the health of Hamlin Lake and the water quality monitoring that she helped conduct. The evening will conclude with recognition of conservation award winners and raffles of conservation-themed prizes.

Voting for board of directors will be held until 6:30 pm, with results announced following dinner.

Attendance is free but a suggested $10 donation at the door is requested. Reservations are also requested up until Friday, February 14 online at www.mason-lakeconservation.org or telephone, 231-757-3707 ext. 5.
