Judy Kay Granger, 85, of Ludington, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Judy was born on May 25, 1939, the daughter of the late Lester and Noma (Knudsen) Laird. She was a 1957 graduate of Ludington High School. On January 6, 1958, she married Frederick Granger. Together they shared nearly 50 years together until his passing in 2007.
Judy was a devote member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Ludington, until its closing. She enjoyed tending to her garden. She obtained her real estate license and attended Ludington Beauty Academy. She enjoyed her career as a beautician for many years. By her husband’s side, together they owned The Floor Place for over 20 years. She was also very close with her beloved sister and best friend, DeLynn “DeDe” Osborne.
Judy is survived by her children, Sherral (Leonard) Rodriguez, Michelle Thomas, and David (Kim) Granger; grandchildren, Mandell Brennan, Morgan Brennan, Nicholas Thomas, Marissa Cooper and Easton Granger; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and her sister, DeLynn Osborne.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Noma Laird; granddaughter, Marlana Brennan; and infant sister, Diane Laird.
A private service has taken place with the family.
