Shari Elizabeth Nott, 59, of Ludington, formerly of West Long Branch, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Shari was born on July 22, 1965, the daughter of Gerald Nott and Carolyn (Pembroke) Rife. She was a 1983 graduate of Mason County Eastern High School. She later went on to Michigan State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology and communications.
Shari had numerous hobbies. She loved attending concerts, riding her bike and going for walks, cooking, collecting glassware and dishes, gardening, traveling, visiting the beach, horses, long conversations on the phone, watching TV, tennis, trips to the Bahamas, playing the drums and keyboard, taking care of her beloved goats, and spending time with her dogs (aka Kings). She also loved her butter pecan ice cream, fudge from Michigan, the Detroit Lions, purchasing olives, and drinking her diet coke. Among all else, she loved being with her family.
Shari is survived by her children, son, Blake Oglensky; daughters, Emma Oglensky, Sophie Oglensky, and Rachel Oglensky; father, Gerald (Connie) Nott; mother, Carolyn (Jake) Rife; boyfriend, Robb Dodson; brother, Jerry Nott; sisters, Kathy Kocher, Anna Thomas, Carla Nott, and Dana Hewell; nephews, Dante Gaviglio and Jerry Nott; close friends of over 25 years, Diane Burley, and Tim McGlue, and their sons Alex and James McGlue; aunt and uncle, Pamela and Charlie Milazzo, and their children Chrstine, Victor, and Marlena; uncle, Garnett Peeling; and her dogs, Nando, Happy, and Rose.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at noon at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
