Gary Owen Hardenburgh, 51, of Ludington, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

Gary, lovingly known as Booey, was born on March 15, 1973, the son of the late Gayle Houghton. In 1992, he earned a GED.

For 35 years, he enjoyed his time traveling the United States working as a carny. In 2020, he was able to retire. Upon retirement he kept busy tinkering away at his machines, camping, and playing with his beloved grandkids.

Gary is survived by his love, fiancé, Wendy Cox; children, Shelbi (Kaylee Smith) Hardenburgh, Zach (Ashlee Parks) Hardenburgh, Rylee Hardenburgh, and Logan Hardenburgh; grandkids, Nayden, Zaylee, Nova, Amara, and Atticus; sister, Gina Beck; brother, Eric Thue; and many nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Gayle Houghton; and his Granny and Papa Thue.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 5 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
