Community Foundation offering scholarships

October 8, 2024

LUDINGTON — Applications for the 2025 scholarships offered by Community Foundation for Mason County is now open until Feb. 4, 2025. In 2024, the Foundation has awarded over $182,000 in scholarships.

The Community Foundation manages scholarship funds started by donors who wish to support students in continuing their education. There are awards based on a variety of factors including academic achievement, community involvement, extracurricular activities, field of study, and financial need. Scholarships are not just for college; there are awards for technical and trade school, as well as for adult students starting college or completing a degree after a break from high school.

Scholarships are awarded once per year. To be eligible, the applicant must be a resident of Mason County and a graduate of a Mason County public or private school. While many scholarships are for specific types of students, colleges, or fields of study, the process is a general application. Each individual application is reviewed and matched with the best-fitting scholarship source.
