The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024:

• 1:07 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 43-year-old Scottville man was arrested following a traffic stop on a warrant issued in Mason County for a charge of methamphetamine possession, Pere Marquette Highway and US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
• 7:16 a.m., (MCSO), car/raccoon crash, no injury, US 31 south of Ehler Road, Sherman Township.
• 2:07 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
• 6:05 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Hawley Road west of Morton Road, Riverton Township.
• 11:01 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 20-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Pere Marquette Highway near First Street, Pere Marquette Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Friday, Oct. 4, 2024:

• 7:36 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Conrad Road overpass, Amber Township.
• 3:22 p.m., (MCSO), three-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive and Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Township. The suspect vehicle reportedly quickly approached two stopped vehicles, rear-ending one, pushing it into the other stopped vehicle. The at-fault vehicle then fled the scene.
• 3:55 p.m., (MCSO), a 41-year-old Fountain woman was cited following a traffic stop for operating without a license, Jebavy Drive and US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
• 4:55 p.m., (MCSO), retail fraud, Walmart, Pere Marquette Township. A male and a female suspect fled the store after reportedly stealing merchandise.
• 11:16 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, Johnson Road west of Gordon Road, Amber Township. Deputies responded to a reported vehicle/tree crash. Upon arrival, no driver was located.

Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024:

• 10:30 a.m., (MCSO), a report will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office seeking a charge of domestic violence against a 29-year-old Branch man following a 911 call reporting a “female in distress,” 8500 block of East US 10, Branch Township.
• 6:09 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
• 10:46 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation (Grant Township.

Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024:

• 12:08 a.m. (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Morton Road north of Deren Road, Riverton Township.
• 12:29 a.m., (MCSO), a 38-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County failure to appear warrant following a traffic stop, Jebavy and Hazelwood drives, Pere Marquette Township.
• 6:14 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
• 9:45 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 53-year-old Baldwin man was arrested on a criminal bench warrant for contempt of court and charged with methamphetamine possession following a reported disturbance, 700 block of East Third St, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 11:20 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
