LUDINGTON — United Way of Mason County recently recognized some local businesses and organizations with its 2023 Workplace Campaign Awards. The awards celebrate the impact made by workplaces and employees that have gone above and beyond to support United Way’s mission to improve the health, education, and financial stability of individuals in our community.
The 2023 awardees are:
- Community Builder Award: COVE and Safe Harbor Credit Union
Criteria: The award honors organizations with an employee participation rate of at least 25%, paired with an average gift of $52 per employee during the previous year.
- Sustained Excellence Award: City of Ludington, Lenz-Balder Insurance, and Ludington Beverage Company
Criteria: Recognizing organizations that have maintained an employee participation rate of at least 25%, with an average gift of $52 per employee for two consecutive years.
- Distinguished Leadership Award: Metalworks
Criteria: The award is given to the organization that raised the largest amount of money in combined employee giving, special events, and corporate contributions over two consecutive years.
“These awardees have demonstrated remarkable leadership and commitment to our community,” said Lynne Russell, executive director of United Way of Mason County. “Their generosity and ongoing support allow us to continue addressing critical needs and creating lasting change in Mason County. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership.”
The annual Workplace Campaign Awards highlight the power of collective giving and the importance of collaboration between local businesses and United Way in making a positive, sustainable impact.
