Garden wars voting

August 6, 2013

LUDINGTON — The gardens are once again in full bloom at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. Last summer’s highly popular Garden Wars are back and the voting for People’s Choice is open. The grounds surrounding the Arts Center, 107 S. Harrison, have been beautified by local gardeners who are competing to become your favorite.

For a $2 donation to the Arts Center, you can cast a vote for the best garden plot. Last year’s People’s Choice winner, Bethany Lutheran Church, has returned to see if it can reclaim their title. Other returning gardeners include Bev Fogarty, Ann Johnson and Leeann Mahynski. Joining the battle this summer are firsttime entrants Lowe’s and The Polished Parlor.

These gardeners have applied their unique style to each plot and have succeeded in making the perimeter of the Arts Center a natural work of art. Don’t miss this display of nature’s beauty blended with gardening skill and an artful eye.

Place your vote in Garden Wars at the Arts Center office at 107 S. Harrison, TuesdaysSaturdays, noon5pm. Voting will continue through the month of August. For more information on Arts Center exhibits and events, visit www.ludingtonartscenter.org.
