LUDINGTON — Cartier Mansion Bed & Breakfast, 409 E. Ludington Ave., has recently been voted Newsweek Magazine’s Readers’ Choice for Best Historical Bed & Breakfast in America.

The house was built in 1905 and owned by Warren and Catherine (Dempsey) Cartier. The three-story neoclassic house, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, boasts Roman pressed brick and Bedford limestone accents. I

Cartier Mansion is the perfect place to stay for a fully immersive historical experience.” Cartier Mansion was one of only two Midwest B&Bs out of 15 nominees from across the country, landing the #1 spot among B&Bs from popular U.S. destinations such as Denver, Philadelphia, Cape Cod and Kentucky bourbon country. The Laurium Manor Inn, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, earned a #3 spot from Newsweek Readers.
