79th District Court sentencings, posted Aug. 22, 2024

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Christopher Lane Quillin, 29, pleaded guilty Aug. 21 to a reduced charge of operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor and was sentenced to 93 days in jail (suspended sentence), no drugs/alcohol, subject to random PBTs, must attend victim impact weekend, and $265 in fines/costs. The original charge of operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level of .17 or above was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

-Miguel Jesus Barranco, 30, pleaded guilty on Aug. 16 to disorderly drunk person and was sentenced to 90 days in jail. A charge of malicious destruction of personal property was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

-Myles Anthony Austin, 29, pleaded guilty on Aug. 16 to a reduced charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days in jail (suspended sentence), no drugs/alcohol, subject to random PBTs and drug tests, must have a substance abuse evaluation and comply with recommendations, and $1,260 in fines/costs. The original charge of second-offense operating while intoxicated was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

-Sarrah Ann Acuna, 40, pleaded guilty on Aug. to a reduced charge of trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended sentence) and $540 in fines/costs. The original charge of domestic violence was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

-Austin James Bjorkquist, 21, pleaded guilty on Aug. 21 to a reduced charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days in jail (suspended sentence), no drugs/alcohol, subject to random PBTs, must attend victim’s impact weekend, must seek outpatient treatment program, and $890 in fines/costs. The original charge of operating with a blood alcohol level of .17 or above was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

-Michael Lee Osborne, 64, pleaded guilty on Aug. 21 to assault and battery and was sentenced to one day in jail, must attend anger management counseling, and $500 in fines/costs.
