SCOTTVILLE — The Mason County District Library’s summer gardening series for adults will continue on Tuesday, Aug. 20. The third session in the four-part series which focuses on planning, planting, preserving and pruning fruits and vegetables and will feature Wade Syers of Michigan State University Extension. Syers will discuss canning equipment and explain the use of different types of canners. We will also learn about the differences between high-acid and low-acid foods in relation to the canning process.
The series is funded through a Mid Michigan Library League project grant.
The free program will begin at 6 p.m. at the Scottville branch library, 204 E. State St.
