GRANT TOWNSHIP — A 43-year-old Free Soil man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies on charges of stalking, disorderly person and trespassing Friday, Aug. 9, shortly after 7 p.m. after refusing to leave the home of a person who had a personal protection order against him, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The incident occurred in the 100 block of West Treml Road.
“He repeatedly refused to leave when requested by the homeowner and deputies,” said Sheriff Cole. “He also refused a ride by deputies. At one point, the suspect walked down the road, only to return and stand in the driveway of the protected party, staring at the home.”
He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
