Luke Charles Rangel, 47, of Burbank, Cali. formerly of Scottville, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024. Luke was born on March 20, 1977, the son of Guadalupe and Rosalinda Rangel. He attended Mason County Central High School, graduating in 1995, before attending Full Sail University earning an associate of recording arts degree. On June 1, 1996, Luke married the love of his life, Amy (Petersen) Rangel. Luke was self-employed as an audio engineer, composer, and music producer.

Throughout his life, Luke was an avid enthusiast of photography, capturing stunning landscapes and precious family moments. He enjoyed the outdoors, he was often found hiking and biking. His love for reading spanned across various genres, providing him with a wealth of knowledge and adventure.

Music was a constant in Luke’s life, bringing him joy and comfort. He also had a unique passion for collecting Hot Wheels cars and customizing cars, a hobby that he approached with precision and creativity. Luke was happiest when sharing great food and laughter with his friends and family, leaving behind cherished memories filled with love and fellowship.

Luke is survived by his parents, Guadalupe Z Rangel and Rosalinda Ruiz Rangel; wife, Amy (Petersen) Rangel; siblings, Guadalupe Rangel Jr. and his wife, Panjai (Ning) Pansang-Rangel, and Carrie (Jim Scatena) Rangel; parents-in-law, John and Karen Petersen; brother-in-law, Steve and his wife, Meagan (Miller) Petersen; nephews, David, Austin, Daniel, Noah, and Owen; nieces, Ayiana, Kateriya, Selena, Jai, and Sophie; godson, Jose Vasquez; and family members, Dominga Longoria, Dolores (Randy) Peters, Daniel (Jackie) Longoria, Ricky (Tammy) Longoria, Rebecca (Mark) Smith, and Leti (Kyle) Rudolph-Longoria.

Luke was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph G. Rangel; niece, Lexus Belle Rangel; tio, Narciso Longoria; and beloved dog and companion, Buttercup.

Memorial contributions in Luke’s honor can be made to the Mason County MUTTS or the Mason County PAWS Humane Society.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington, with visitation at 1 p.m.
