Nancy Pajonk, 75, of Ludington, went home to the Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2024, surrounded by family. Nancy was born March 27, 1949, in Ludington, to Elmer and Rosemary Wright. Nancy married the love of her life, Michael Pajonk, on July 25, 1970 and remained in Ludington.

Nancy lived her life full of love for everyone. She always put others before herself. Her smile would brighten up a room. She was the neighborhood mom.

Nancy’s occupation was mom and grandma first and foremost but had a love of baking cakes for any occasion. Her nickname was “Nancy the Cake Lady”.

Nancy will be missed by: her husband of 53 years, Michael Pajonk; her children, Michael (Lauren) Pajonk, Gretchen (Steve) Turner, and Lee (Bryan Betts) Pajonk; her grandchildren, Darian Pajonk, Maya (Jordan) Chandler, Steven Turner, Ethan Turner, and Nathaniel Betts; her sister, Tonie Littlefield; nephews, Patrick Woodhouse, Brian Woodhouse, Dan Littlefield, and David Littlefield; and her best friend, Anita Whitaker.

Nancy was preceded in death by: her parents, Elmer and Rosemary Wright; her sisters, Theresa Wright and MaryAnn Capola; and her mother-in-law, Lena Pajonk.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her nephew Patrick Woodhouse for caring for her during her illness and Hospice of Michigan and their beautiful nurses and Nancy’s favorite aide Sierra.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at St. Simon Catholic Church, in Ludington, with Father Wayne B. Wheeler presiding.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at the church.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
