LUDINGTON — Rite Aid, one of the nation’s largest drugstore chains, has recently announced that it will close 12 more Michigan stores, including the Ludington location, as the company seeks to exit federal bankruptcy protection. A document filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Jersey on Monday did not state when the stores will close or what will happen to the employees. ‘
The dozen Michigan stores account for less than 10% of Rite Aid’s 186 stores in the state.
The Ludington store is located at 936 E. Ludington Ave., on the southwest corner of Ludington Avenue and Jackson Road.
Other stores scheduled to close include:
- 3880 Wilder Road, Bay City
- G4033 Fenton Road, Burton
- 6026 Lapeer Road, Burton
- 4519 Richfield Road, Flint
- 2985 Main St., Marlette
- 603 E. Savidge St., Spring Lake
- 15411 Southfield Road, Allen Park
- 107 Kercheval Ave., Grosse Pointe Farms
- 37399 Six Mile Road, Livonia
- 640 N. Milford Road, Milford
- 1998 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte
