SCOTTVILLE — The Mason County Road Commission is reporting that several local and primary roads in northern Mason County are receiving fresh coats of paint for yellow centerlines and white edge lines. Painting of roads in southern Mason County took place last year. Michigan Pavement Marking, Inc. of Byron Center is the contractor.
Paving marking began last week and is expected to be completed by Thursday, June 30. In addition to road stripes, railroad crossing symbols and turn arrows will also be completed later this year.
The approximate cost of the pavement marking is $90,000 and is funded by the road commission.
