Bill Willoughby

William “Bill” Jack Willoughby, 52, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Ludington. He was born at Ludington Memorial Hospital on November 3, 1971. Bill attended Free Soil Community Schools and lived in Ludington. He enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.

Bill served on the Free Soil/Meade Fire Department from 1991 to 1996.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Betty Willoughby and his son, Jack Willoughby.

Bill is survived by his stepson, Zachary Shurlow; brothers, Rick (Mary) Willoughby of Manistee, Richard (Vickie Sanders) Willoughby of Fountain, Daniel Willoughby of Greendale, Indiana, and Frank (Barb) Willoughby; sisters, Michele Stickney of Free Soil, LaJuana Willoughby of Ludington, and Judy (John) Essig of Fountain. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Internment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Free Soil Township.
