More details on missing woman

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office has released more information about Cathie Swanger Funke, who has been missing since Monday morning.

The 49-year-old Summit Township resident hasn’t been seen since about 8 a.m. Monday. She left her home leaving her purse, which contained all her credit cards, cash and identification, along with her cell phone. She also left a suicide note, the sheriff’s office reported; she has a history of suicide attempts, using prescription medications.

Funke is 5-foot, 5-inches with brown eyes and short dyed blond hair. She was driving a 1999 Dodge Caravan, maroon in color and very rusty with Michigan license plate 5FMJ20.

She is known to like walking on the beach but her destination is unknown.
