SCOTTVILLE — The first of three free films being presented at the Scottville Clown Band Shell will be this Friday, July 26. The Disney animated hit “Brave” will be shown on the grounds of the shell beginning at sunset, shortly after 9:30 p.m. But the evening will begin at 8 p.m. with live musical entertainment by The Road Less Travelled.
Those attending are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Refreshments, including popcorn and pop, will be for sale by the Scottville Optimist Club.
On Aug. 2, “The Adventures of Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure” will be shown. Pre-movie musical entertainment will be All Tuned Up featuring Tyler Reed at 8 p.m. “Mickey Matson” was written and directed by Harold Cronk of Amber Township and produced by Scottville native Edgar Struble. The DVD is currently being sold exclusively at Wal-Mart. This will be the second area showing of the film and the first public viewing in Scottville.
The Friday Night Movies at the Shell series is presented by Great Lakes Energy, Carr Communications, West Shore Bank, LAVA Concept, Scottville Clown Band, Scottville Optimists, Mosquito Squad, Don and Elizabeth Pasco and Mason County Press.
