Obituary: Gary Boyer, 32, of Mancelona, formerly of Irons

Gary Michael Boyer, 32, of Mancelona, formerly of Irons, tragically passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

Gary was born on March 15, 1992, the son of Gary Hawks and Rebecca Reynolds. He attended school at Carsonville – Port Sanilac High School. Gary was employed at East Jordan Iron Works.

Gary was a passionate outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and cruising around on his motorcycle. He loved animals, of all kinds. He was regularly surrounded by his children, family, and friends. Gary loved life and had a huge heart. He had a way of making you laugh in the worst moments.

Gary is survived by his children: sons, Riley and Bentley Brant, and daughter, Raelynn Boyer; mother, Rebecca Reynolds; father, Gary Hawks; seven siblings, Rachel (Nick) Bennett, Ryan (Sarah) May, Misty (Austin Gross) Boyer, Vanessa (Coty) Anger, James (Brittany) Boyer, Clare (Noah) Mayo, and David Boyer; six nieces; 13 nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Gary was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Beverly Reynolds; and paternal grandparents, Jimmie and Gloria Hawks.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 5 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington. Visitation begins at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
