Rhythm & Dunes vendor proceeds to help area music programs

LUDINGTON — West Shore Bank has announced that a portion of the proceeds from vendor sales at the second annual Rhythm & Dunes Summer Community Concerts will once again be donated to area high school music programs. Following a successful event last year, the bank is extending the impact of the event to three local schools – Ludington, Mason County Central and Mason County Eastern.

West Shore Bank is encouraging the community to come out and enjoy this year’s Rhythm & Dunes concerts and help support local schools by purchasing from on-site vendors. Vendors include Dave’s Dogs, House of Flavors, Hungry Howie’s Pizza, and Lela’s Kettle Corn.

“Rhythm & Dunes is a music event,” said Raymond Biggs, CEO of West Shore Bank, “so it seems fitting that we give back to the music programs at our local high schools in support of the students’ gifts and talents. We’re thrilled with the response the event received from the community last year and are excited to kick off this year’s concerts this week.”

July 27 is Swing Night, featuring the world famous The Glenn Miller Orchestra. August 3 is Beach Night with music from local group Groove 101 as well as Son of a Sailor, a tribute to Jimmy Buffett. Both concerts are free and begin at 7 pm at Waterfront Park in Ludington. The vendors will be on-site beginning at 6 pm. Donations will also be accepted at the West Shore Bank Hospitality tent.

Free shuttle service donated by Ludington Mass Transit Authority will be available from select parking lots to Waterfront Park for the July 27 concert. Go to westshorebank.com or stop in to any West Shore Bank office for more information.
