PM board to consider 2024 pay rates

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Pere Marquette Township Board of Trustees will hold a year-end meeting on Thursday, Dec. 28 beginning at 4 p.m. at the township hall, 1699 S. Pere Marquette Highway.

During the meeting, trustees are expected to approve a 2 percent pay increase for all township employees.

The new pay rates will be effective Jan. 1, 2024 and include $74,780 per year for each the supervisor, clerk and treasurer and $2,040 per year for the four trustees.

The board is also expected to take action on compensation rates for all township employees. The 2023 increase was 4 percent for all township employees.

Clerk Rachelle Enbody is also requesting the board approve compensation for  temporary assistance in her office.
