Deputies ‘battle for blood’

HART — Deputies and officers with the Oceana County and Mason County sheriff’s offices are having a friendly competition to see which sheriff’s office donates the most blood during blood drives Monday, Dec. 11, 2023.

The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office blood drive is located at the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, 216 Lincoln St., Hart, and the Mason County Sheriff’s Office blood drive is located the Mason County Airport, 5300 US 10, Ludington.

Citizens are also encouraged to donate blood during the blood drives. OCSO’s continues until 4 p.m., and MCSO’s continues until 5:30 p.m.

“We’re having a friendly competition with the Mason County Sheriff’s Office to see who donates the most blood,” said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
