Obituary: Shannon Grams, 70, of Ludington
Shannon (Rubritius) Grams, 70, passed away in Ludington, surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Shannon was the wife of the late Gary Grams. They shared 36 years of marriage together. First making a home in White Lake then moving to Ludington in 1988, a place they both loved to be.
Shannon was born in Pontiac in 1953. She was the daughter of the late Velma and Dave Rubritius. She was number four of six kids. While growing up, Shannon attended West Bloomfield Schools and graduated from West Bloomfield High School in 1971. She was employed by the Walled Lake School District for 12 years.
Shannon was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Ludington. She was involved in Vacation Bible School, Alter Guild, community dinners, and tending to the gardens. She will always be remembered for her kindness, and her love of God, family, and friends.
Shannon will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her grandson, Kyle (Lauren) Morrison; stepdaughter Kathy Grams; step-grandchildren Alissa and Michael Grams; sister Sandy Albright; brother David Rubritius; sister Sharmaine (Dennis) Rederstorf; brother-in-law Don Parent; many nieces, nephews, and boyfriend Don Kissell.
Shannon was preceded in death by her daughter Jodi Morrison; husband Gary Grams; sister Sharon Parent; sister Shelley Comis; and brother-in-law Jim Comis.
A private family memorial will take place in the near future.
