The following is recent police activity in Mason County:
Monday, Dec. 4, 2023:
- 4:30 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Scottville Road north of Marrison Road, Eden Township.
- 6:40 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Hoague Road east of Darr Road, Free Soil Township.
- 8:14 a.m., (MCSO), a 19-year-old Scottville man was arrested for driving while license suspended and resisting arrest following a traffic stop, Reinberg Avenue and Main Street, City of Scottville. During the arrest, the suspect reportedly kept trying to pull away from the deputy while attempts were made to handcuff him.
- 5:30 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Iris Road west of Lakeshore Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
- 5:50 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive north of Jagger Road, Hamlin Township.
Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023:
- Kent County arrested a 32-year-old Fennville man on a Ludington Police Department warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference for a domestic violence charge. A hold was placed on the defendant by LPD to allow officers to pick him up. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
