Scottville to hold Christmas celebration Saturday
SCOTTVILLE — The City of Scottville will celebrate the Christmas season on Saturday, Dec. 9. The festivities will begin with the fourth annual town-wide Christmas parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. During the pandemic, the Christmas parade was routed through the city’s neighborhoods. That tradition has continued.
Following the parade, a Christmas celebration will take place downtown with lighting of the town Christmas tree, pictures with Santa, hot chocolate, cookies, popcorn and kids’ crafts.
The parade begins at Mason County Central Middle School at 6:30 p.m. Will travel east on Beryl Street, south of Gay Street, East on Broadway Avenue, north on Thomas Street, west on Beryl Street, south on Reinberg Avenue, east on First Street, south on Scott Street, east on Third street and north on Main Street, ending in downtown.
The event is sponsored by the City of Scottville with contributions from local businesses and individuals.
