Rotary Club auction is Dec. 6
LUDINGTON — The Rotary Club of Ludington 2023 Holiday Auction Gala is Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Stearns Hotel Grand Ballroom, 212 E. Ludington Ave.
Tickets may be purchased through the website, https://one.bidpal.net/ludingtonrotary/welcome
Silent auction items are now open for bidding online by anyone through that same web site.
“We have over 150 silent auction items this year. We have 11 really exciting live auction items that will be available at the event,” Nancy Fife, Rotary auction committee chairwoman, said. “Anyone can go on and bid on the silent auction items using the link (above).”
The gala is a major fundraiser for the club.
“Proceeds provide funds for our scholarships, for our STRIVE program, which is our high school mentoring program we’ve been running for 25 years,” Fife said. “It’s just a great way to contribute to our community. And it’s fun.”
“We’re thrilled to be working with Stearns again, occupying their gorgeous ballroom, and being able to bring a very unique experience to our Rotary group this year, for our 24th annual event” committee member Jenna Simpler said.
“We are partnering with Chef Rolan and will be focusing on a different style of dining this year. We’re going to have grazing tables. They’re set up where people don’t have to get out of their chairs as its more of a family style of dining. This style of dining allows us more time to talk about our passion for Rotary with our Tablemates and hope to share how their generous bidding will make a Hugh impact on our community.
“We’re looking forward for another great year,” Simpler said.
“We are excited to usher in the holiday season with the 24th annual Rotary Club Holiday Auction,” Ludington Rotary President Julee Sarto said. “Whether you are participating in the silent auction or putting on the ritz with your friends at the event on Dec. 6 in person, the funds raised are directly impacting the community in so many ways.
“Check off holiday shopping lists while enjoying an evening out and giving to our community: A three-way win!”
Jac Russell is again slated to be the auctioneer/emcee for the evening.
Sarto will give brief review of Rotary Club of Ludington’s 90th year of “service above self” in the community.
