Obituary: Shane Phillips, 18, of Ludington

Shane William Phillips, beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the age of 18.  Shane was born to Brian and Jodie Phillips. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Dallas Lindenau, Sawyer Phillips, and Devon Phillips; grandmothers Martha Bosma and Linda Phillips; and various extended family members and friends.

Shane was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Phillips.

Shane was born and raised in Ludington.  He was happiest when he was amongst the people who cared for him the most.  Shane was never one to sit still for long and as a young child he kept his family on their toes with his fearlessness and silliness.  Shane struggled as a teen, but never lost his compassion toward others and was known for being a bright and caring young man.

Shane graduated from Oriole Academy in 2023 and was starting to make plans for his future.  This world has lost one of the good ones and none of us will ever be the same.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington.
