WSCC to celebrate 25th anniversary of Wellness Center with free admission day

VICTORY TOWNSHIP — In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the West Shore Community College Wellness Center, the WSCC Recreation Center is hosting a free admission day on Thursday, Nov.16.  The free day event aims to provide an opportunity for the community to experience the Recreation Center’s offerings. Light refreshments will also be available.

The Wellness Center opened in 1998 offering a formalized work-out facility. The Recreation Center opened in the mid-1970s.

The WSCC Recreation Center offers various amenities. The gymnasium, weight room, wellness center, and swimming pool will be available (pool is open for lap swimming and must be booked in advance to guarantee a lane.) Visitors are encouraged to explore and enjoy these facilities.

“The Recreation Center is more than just another workout facility,” said Julie Smith, director of wellness. “It is a place where people feel at home. We are a family-friendly facility with something for everyone, regardless of their fitness experience.”
