The Great Apple Crunch

SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central students participated in the Michigan Great Apple Crunch on Thursday, Oct. 12. The event was coordinated by Michigan State University Extension and the Michigan Farm to Institution Network as a way to promote healthy eating and to support farm to school and other local food purchasing initiatives throughout the region. Apples grown by local farmers were purchased for the event. Thursday was also Farmer Day at MCC, which was part of the school’s homecoming spirit week celebration.
