Story and Photo by Rob Alway, Editor-in-Chief
VICTORY TOWNSHIP — Traffic on Fisher Road between Peterson and Victory Corner roads was re-opened Friday, Sept. 22, following four months of construction. During construction the old 52-feet by 20-feet bridge, built in 1900, was removed and a new 70-feet by 28-feet steel beam bridge.
The $1.5 million project was funded by Michigan Department of Transportation and Mason County Road Commission. Hardman Construction of Ludington was the main contractor.
