LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
Felonies
-Mark Lazon Casterman, 58; homicide/open murder, operating a vehicle under the influence causing death, driving while license suspended causing death, and third-offense operating under the influence of liquor; arrested Sept. 15 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 17; probable cause hearing: Sept. 27; bail: $1 million cash. -Odell Eugene Martin, 43; failure to pay child support/leaving the state; arrested June 1, 2019; arraigned Sept. 14; probable cause hearing: Sept. 27; bail: $5,000 cash.
-Melissa Lee Hargain, 41; five counts of uttering & publishing; arrested April 1 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 17; probable cause hearing: Sept. 27; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.
-Michael Eugene Tyler, 67; three counts of assault/resisting/obstructing police and operating while intoxicated; arrested Sept. 9 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 14; probable cause hearing: Oct. 11; bail: $250 cash.
-Fremont Kerricks, 40; possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy) and fourth-offense habitual offender; arrested Aug. 17 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 15; probable cause hearing: Sept. 27; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.
-Casey Eileen Christoffersen, 38; maintaining a drug house and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy); arrested Aug. 12 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 17; probable cause hearing: Sept. 27; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.
-Jeremy Lynn Wilson, 48; maintaining a drug house, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine/ecstasy), assault/resisting/obstructing police, and third-offense habitual offender; arrested Aug. 12 by Ludington Police Department; arraigned Sept. 20; probable cause hearing: Oct. 4; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.
-Anthony Nelson Cole, 52; possession of a controlled substance (narcotic/cocaine) less than 25 grams and second-offense habitual offender; arrested Aug. 1 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 20; probable cause hearing: Oct. 4; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.
-Daniel Scott Walters, 43; interfering with an electronic communications device, domestic violence, and second-offense habitual offender; arrested Sept. 14 by Michigan State Police; arraigned Sept. 15; probable cause hearing: Sept. 27; bail: $5,000 personal recognizance.
Misdemeanors
-Sherece Michele Nehm, 31; second-degree retail fraud; arrested May 25 by Michigan State Police; arraigned Sept. 14; pretrial: Sept. 25; bail: $500 personal recognizance.
-Alicia Maria Platt, 34; malicious destruction of a building between $200-$1,000; arrested June 3 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 14; pretrial: Sept. 25; bail: $250 cash.
-Jeffrey Gordon James, 54; driving while license suspended; arrested April 29 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 14; pretrial: Sept. 25; bail: $250 cash.
-Lea Louise Williams, 50; failure to stop at the scene of an accident; arrested Sept. 3 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 14; pretrial: Sept. 25; bail: personal recognizance.
-Fredrick Allen Thomas, Jr., selling tobacco to a minor; arrested Sept. 7; arraigned Sept. 14; pleaded guilty.
-Travis Matthew McClellan, 43; driving while license suspended and no proof of insurance; arrested Aug. 23 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office; arraigned Sept. 14; pretrial: Sept. 25; bail: personal recognizance.
