Scottville Fall Celebration takes place Saturday
SCOTTVILLE — The third annual Scottville Fall Celebration will take place on Saturday, Sept. 16. Activities are planned throughout the day that promise fun for the whole family, including a rubber ducky race, craft market, live music, games, food and more.
The rubber ducky race is a new event to the Fall Celebration but not new to Scottville. The event previously took place during the former 10/31 Celebration (and Summer Celebration before that) earlier in the summer. It will take place at 11 a.m. at Scottville Riverside Park.
A softball tournament at McPhail Field will begin at 8 a.m. All other events, beginning at noon, will take place in downtown.
The Fall Celebration started in 2011 following several years of hiatus of the former three-day Scottville Harvest Festival. It includes several activities throughout the day include a hometown appearance of the Scottville Clown Band.
The schedule is as follows:
- 8 a.m. – Softball tournament beings at McPhail Field
- 11 a.m. – Rubber Ducky Race at Scottville Riverside Park
- Noon to 6 p.m. – Touch-a-Truck, craft vendors, kids’ games and activities on State and Main streets.
- Noon to 10 p.m. – Food vendors available
- Noon to 10 p.m. – Scottville Outdoor Social District drinks sold from Charlie’s Bar and North Branch Winery.
- 1 to 3 p.m. – Miss Mason County & Princess pageants at Scottville Clown Band Shell.
- 3 to 5 p.m. – Scottville Clown Band concert, downtown.
- 6 to 8 p.m. – Working on Famous performance, downtown.
- 6 to 8 p.m. – Cornhole tournament on Main Street.
- 8 to 10 p.m. – The Whiskey Rebels performance, downtown.
