The following is recent police activity in Mason County:
Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023:
- 8:22 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), retail fraud, Wesco, 100 block of North Main Street, City of Scottville. The complainant reported the theft of two bottles of brandy from the store.
- 9:43 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, minor injury, Hansen Road west of Dennis Road, Amber Township.
- 2:23 p.m., (MCSO), larceny of fruit, 3400 block of West Deren Road, Riverton Township.
- 7:30 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 38-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants issued by the 79th District Court for failure to appear, 100 block of North Franklin Street, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 9:29 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of Oceana Drive, Summit Township.
Friday, Aug. 18, 2023:
- 12:45 a.m., (LPD), a 23-year-old Newaygo man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Newaygo County for failure to pay fines and costs, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
