Local law enforcement reports the following activity for Wednesday, May 10 and Thursday, May 11:
May 10:
- 1:15 a.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO): Gas drive off ($40), Airport EZ Mart, 5445 W. US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
- 6 a.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Fountain Road west of US 31, Victory Township.
- 12:58 p.m., Ludington Police Department (LPD): A 60-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding 51st Circuit Court warrant issued pursuant to a probation violation for possession of dangerous drugs. An additional charge of obstructing/resisting/assaulting a police officer was sought as well.
- 9:54 p.m., MCSO: A 56-year-old Branch man was cited for driving while license suspended, fourth offense, following a traffic stop, Hansen Road near Custer Road, Sherman Township.
May 11:
- 6:46 a.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles Road south of Johnson Road, Amber Township.
- 6:25 p.m., MCSO: Retail fraud, Walmart Super Center, 4854 W. US 10, Pere Marquette Township. A report will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office. The suspect’s vehicle had left the scene and was stopped by a MCSO deputy. The alleged stolen property was in the vehicle.
- 11:30 p.m., car/raccoon crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Highway north of Chauvez Road, Pere Marquette Township.
