LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced this week in 79th District Court:
–          Tyler Jacob Young, 18, of 403 E. Third St., Ludington, was found guilty May 21 of controlled substance – possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 11 days in jail with credit for 11 days served; $580 in fines and costs; must obtain substance abuse counseling; one year discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; and weekly drug tests for six months. Driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted 150 days.
–          Brandee Michelle Patrick, 42, of 1938 E. 24th St., White Cloud, was found guilty May 21 of second-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to 270 days in jail with credit for 26 days served; $957.47 in fines, costs and restitution; and one year discretionary jail for two years.
–          Steven Kenneth Tyler, 30, of 4160 S. Ordway Rd., Custer, was found guilty May 21 of third-degree retail fraud. He was sentenced to eight days in jail with credit for eight days served; $580 in fines and costs; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year.
–          Amy Jo Reynolds, 43, of 711 E. Foster St., Ludington, was found guilty May 21 of operating while impaired by liquor. She was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend the next session of the Victims Impact Panel; must complete Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,145 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
–          Michael Lee Dwyer, 24, c/o of 7127 Martin Rd., Fountain, pleaded no contest May 21 to attempted interfering with an electronic device and was found guilty of domestic violence. He was sentenced to 19 days in jail with credit for four days served; $1,160 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years for count I; 93 days discretionary jail for two years, 58 hours of community service or $580 in fines and costs, no contact with victims, no alcohol/drugs for count II. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
–          Ken Viet-Hoai Le, 23, of 6643 W. Park View Ct., Ludington, was found guilty May 21 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; fines and costs of $1,145; must complete AHSE: 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend the next session of the Victims Impact Panel. Conviction is reportable to the SOS.
–          Lazaro Daniel Madrigal, 101 S. 72nd Ave., Shelby, was found guilty May 21 of one count of second-degree retail fraud and pleaded no contest to a second count second-degree retail fraud and third-degree retail fraud. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail; $1,058.83 in fines, costs and restitution (count I); $580 in fines and costs (each, for counts II and III); one year discretionary jail for two years; jail terms are concurrent.
