LUDINGTON — The Lakeshore Children’s Chorus is getting a name change as it begins its 2013 summer season. Now known as the Lakeshore Youth Chorus, children entering second grade and up are invited to join the chorus every Wednesday, beginning June 12, from 10 to 11a.m. at the Ludington Center for the Arts, 107 S. Harrison, Ludington.
The LYC summer session is designed so members can participate full-time or drop-in weekly for a fun singing experience. This is a great activity for busy kids and visiting children alike, said Paula Jarvis, director. The cost is $5 per week, tuition assistance is available and registration is not required.
Lakeshore Youth Chorus will appear at the Ludington Back to the Fifites Sock-Hop on June 7th in downtown Ludington and as the introductory act at the 2013 LudRock on June 29th.
The Lakeshore Youth Chorus is under the direction of Paula Jury Jarvis in partnership with the Ludington Area Arts Council.
