Notice to Bidders: Branch Township Fire Station and Township Offices

The Branch Township Board of Trustees in Mason County is soliciting bids for an 80-feet by 100-feet pole barn style building. This will be a multi functional municipal structure housing the Branch Township Offices and the Branch Township Fire Department with the following specifications:

  • 80-feet by 100-feet pole barn style building with 18-foot, 6 3/4-inch side walls. The building will house the Township hall and both Township and Fire offices on one side (50-feet by 80-feet), with a mezzanine above the office area (50-feet by 80-feet) and the Fire Department apparatus bays on the other side (50-feet by 80-feet).
  • Actual building area is a single story – 2 story main level 8,000 square feet, second story 4,000 square foot.
  • Metal roof and sides with soffit and fascia.
  • Construction of building and concrete to include any necessary excavation, back-fill, and permits.
  • Four – 14-feet W by 12-feet H garage doors (commercial grade)
  • Two – 8-feet by 7feet roll up door (commercial grade)
  • Seven – entry doors (commercial grade)
  • All applicable codes shall be followed for Michigan

  • Payment and Performance Bond Insurance Required

PLEASE BASE BID ON THESE PLAN DOCUMENTS

Plans will take precedence over language on the invitation to Bid. A set of plans with the Engineer’s Seal will be given to the contractor awarded the bid.

Sealed bids will be accepted until 7:00 pm on April 12 , 2023.  

Bids need to be in a sealed envelope, clearly labeled “Branch Township Building Bid”

The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive irregularities therein, and to accept any bids which, in the opinion of the Board, may be most advantages and in the best interest of the Township. The bids will publicly opened and read aloud at the April 13, 2023 Regular Township Board Meeting.
