Spartan Proud: MCC High School Band prepares for fall season.

SCOTTVILLE — The Mason County Central High School Band completed a week of camp Friday with a community performance at Spartan Community Band. New band director Caleb Schultz has been preparing the band for its fall marching season. Caleb was hired as director of bands in June, replacing Tom Thomas, who served in the role for 22 years; Thomas passed away in May.

Schultz is a graduate of Newaygo High School and received a bachelor’s degree in music education from Grand Valley State University.
