VICTORY TOWNSHIP — The West Shore Community College Board of Trustees is expected to take action on a plan to update the second floor of the Schoenherr Campus Center when it meets today for its regular monthly meeting. 

According to WSCC President Scott Ward, the renovations will include the construction of a single stall restroom (additional to the existing restrooms), along with renovating existing space into a student senate office along with a student activity area. The changes will mean a loss in meeting and training space, Ward said, but the building’s multi-purpose room makes up for the loss. 

Ward said the proposed design has minimal construction except for the bathroom and a door for the student senate office. The building was built with movable walls that can be rearranged to accommodate most of the proposed changes. The anticipated cost of the project is between $100,000 to $125,000. 

If approved, the remodel is projected to be completed this summer. 

The board will meet at 4 p.m. in the John M. Eaton Board Room in the Administration and Conference Building.
