Do you remember 9/11/01?

Do you remember where you were and what you were doing when you heard the news on Sept. 11, 2001? Twenty years ago tomorrow?

I remember seeing the news report of a plane that had crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center. My eyes were glued to the news when shortly later another plane crashed into the other tower. America was under attack. I was living in Hamlin Township and had to go to Muskegon that day. I remember sitting in the Applebee’s in Muskegon watching the news there. It was unreal was the towers came down. The lives that were lost. The people jumping from the towers. Thousands of people walking across the bridges to get out of Manhattan. President Bush reading to an elementary class. His calm, but stunned face when he was told that America was under attack. The unity and pride we had in being one nation.
